Not sure how you feel about adding related terms, but whenever we can, we try to cross-link terms that help people to extend their understanding. For example, white feminism could be an example of exclusionary feminism that contributes to misogynoir and included in the Issues section.

Yeah, I thought about including related words, but I'm still on the fence. Misogynoir is such a nuanced word as it is—linking to "white feminism" feels oddly like centering it, which feels antithetical to me.

I know this is meant to be a dictionary, but I wonder about the ways in the connections and relations dictionaries and their creators make lead to unintended structural and power imbalances.

Below are my notes on misogynoir. This is an informative and concise overview of the term. Here are suggestions on what I think could maximize the overall understanding of the term, the bold being taken from the definition Amélie wrote:

MISOGYNOIR: the impact of misogyny and anti-Black racism on Black women
• Right away, my initial question is what kind of impact does misogyny and anti-Black racism have on Black women? Is it physical? Physiological? Psychological? If this term is new to folks, can we be more acute in how we name impact in the one-sentence definition?
IMPACT: Misogynoir is most often enacted in media, pop culture, and through state violence.
• Similar question here: what kind of impact? Additionally, what examples of misogynoir can be added here? How is misogynoir used to police Black women? I'm hesitant to use hair as an example (i.e. CROWN Act, the US military banning locs etc etc) because Black folks of all genders are policed in that way...if an example is hard to depict I don't think it detracts from the definition, it would only enhance it.
Overall, this definition is accessible. It's clear, concise, and refrains from too much jargon.
